FrontiersBest of Gay L.A. cover featured model and soon-to-be-published author Marcelino Rosas and an incredibly cute S’Cream Truck photographed by Shawn Adeli in Mid City Los Angeles. S’Cream Truck owners Sarah Reinhardt and Louise Browne-Gonzalez graciously began their day early on our account, prepping for business inside the truck while we shot.

Kat Laskey did her Make Up Forever magic out in the elements to the bemusement of construction workers. Dogs barked. Residents gave us the skeptical eye. All participants were locals, as was some of the wardrobe—furnished by Brick And Mortar.

You can even sample the edible prop for yourself. S’Cream Truck caters. We went with the signature S’Cream Balls: organic vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate. Amazing. Or in this case an appropriate use of “amaze-balls.” Shawn’s post-production visual spinning made for some saturated, pop, urban SoCal grit. It was very all very authentic. And very ‘Best of L.A.’

To the participants in this shoot, thank you! You are the best!

Tank and shorts available at Brick and Mortar.

Louise and Sarah 🙂
