Former Full House star Lori Loughlin stars in tonight’s Hallmark Channel film Garage Sale Mystery. She plays a consignment shop owner who uses her expertise with antiques to solve the murder of her friend. Sort of Murder, She Wrote meets Storage Wars. Based on the book series, the project is directed by former actor and son of the late Dom DeLuise, Peter DeLuise, and just happens to feature his wife Anne-Marie DeLuise. The telefilm also stars The Vampire Diaries‘ Sara Canning and 24 vet Cameron Bancroft.
BBC America brings back the final chapter of the Doctor Who spin-off series Torchwood: Miracle Day starring Arrow‘s John Barrowman. The plot about humans becoming immortal takes a horrifying turn toward a world of zombies and away from the traditional sci-fi theme that most fans preferred. Though it originally aired two years ago, there’s been no definitive effort to mount another version, yet fan interest has not diminished.
Cast member Eve Myles has been costarring with Doctor Who vet Jemma Redgrave in the UK drama Frankie about a visiting nurse. Captain Jack’s former love, David Gareth-Loyd, is making the horror film I Am Alone. The script follows a TV host who documents a deadly viral outbreak and his own experience succumbing to its zombie transforming affect.
But of all the Torchwood vets, Burn Gorman has found the most work here in the states. In just over the past year you’ve seen him in The Dark Knight Rises, Revenge, Game of Thrones and Pacific Rim. He’ll next appear with Ben Kingsley in the WWII drama Walking with the Enemy and the Disney film version of the book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.
