Billy Bob Thornton’s ‘Jayne Mansfield’s Car,’ Plus A Look at the Upcoming ‘Mob City’

Iddo Goldberg, who played Billy Piper's sexy best friend on Secret Diary of a Call Girl, stars in today's release And While We Were Here. Kate Bosworth co-stars in the drama, about a married writer who enters into an affair with a much younger man. L!fe Happens writer, producer and director Kat Coiro retains those titles on this project, which also features former Doctor Who guest star Claire Bloom.Goldberg will also be seen in next year's TNT period drama Mob City from The Walking Dead creator Frank Darabont. Set in the 1940s, the series is based on the book L.A. Noir: The Struggle for the Soul of America's Most Seductive City by John Buntin. The plot stems from the L.A. Police Chief's newly created mob task force and their efforts to take back control of the city from gangsters like Bugsy Siegel and Mickey Cohen. Joining Goldberg are The Walking Dead vet Jon Bernthal, 27 Dresses' Ed Burns, Desperate Housewives' Neal McDonough, Covert Affairs' Gregory Itzin, Heroes' Milo Ventimiglia and The Killing's Brendon Sexton III.

Billy Bob Thornton wrote, directed and stars in the just-opened drama Jayne Mansfield’s Car. The drama looks at an Alabama man who’s forced to raise his children after his wife leaves him for another and moves to England. Following her death 30 years later, her body is brought back for burial in Alabama, where her former and current family meet each other at the funeral for the first time. The top-notch cast includes Kevin Bacon, Robert Duvall, True Blood’s Robert Patrick, Dexter‘s Ray Stevenson, Hellboy‘s John Hurt and the legendary Tippi Hedren.
